Verifying Anti-Virus Access Scanning
It is highly recommended prior to the roll out of any virus-protection project to test the entire system under a full load to measure any changes in stability and performance. Virus protection software requires system resources to successfully execute tasks. Therefore, testing must be performed both before and after the installation of anti-virus software. This is necessary to determine whether there are any performance affecting issues that may arise on the computer running the relevant component. Prior to installation of the UMP-365 server, its recommended to verify that files and directories that must be accessed during and after the installation or upgrade are not temporarily locked by the anti-virus software. These files or directories for the components listed below should be configured in the whitelist exclusion list on the Anti-virus software to prevent them from being locked.
